Campus Sustainability Fund: 2025–2026 Year in Review

Funding Overview

  • The Campus Sustainability Fund granted $303,671 in 2025–2026 to justice-centered sustainability across the University of Washington.
  • 42 student-led projects received funding:
    • 21 Mini Grants, totaling $64,511
    • 15 Large Grants, totaling $191,760
    • 6 Resilience Seed Grants, totaling $18,000
      • Resilience Seed Grants were co-funded with the UW Resilience Lab.
  • Since 2010–2011, CSF has funded 386 projects.
  • CSF contributed $15,000 to extend the Menstruation Station project for three years.
  • CSF invested $14,400 in three EarthLab Summer Internships.
  • CSF received a $25,000 Student Technology Fee Block Award, approved for the 2026–2027 academic year.

Funding Sources

  • The CSF and most of its programs are funded by the Services and Activities Fee.
  • Additional support comes from a small block award from the Student Technology Fee and donations from individual donors.

2025–2026 CSF Timeline

Fall
  • Welcoming Students: Hosted the first U-District Farmer’s Market Picnic and Dawg Daze CSF Project Tour.
  • Redesign of Logo: Redesigned the CSF logo to represent values of empowerment, care, and justice.
Winter
  • Engagement Across UW: Led educational efforts, class visits, tabling, and CELE internships.
  • CSF’s New Space: Opened CSF’s new space at Condon Hall, Room 012.
  • Community Building: Collaborated with MESH, the Q Center, the U-District Farmer’s Market, and other partners.
Spring
  • Sharing Knowledge: Represented CSF at WOHESC and shared its model with other schools across the Pacific Northwest.
  • Celebrating: Shared accomplishments and created a new CSF Committee seat for the Disability and Deaf Cultural Center.
