Facilities Services

UW Facilities Services is a recognized leader in sustainable campus management in regards to buildings, grounds, energy, water and transportation systems. Norm Menter, Energy Conservation Manager, acts as gatekeeper for this department in regards to collaboration with the CSF, and he will happily direct you to the expertise you need within their organization.

Housing & Food Services

Housing & Food Services (HFS) is committed to environmental stewardship in collaboration with our students to reduce our environmental impac, and continually working to transform, grow and improve our sustainability efforts. Any student or group of students interested in partnering on a CSF project with HFS must initially submit a proposal to the HFS Sustainability Committee. Once a project is submitted, the committee will contact the submitter to set up a meeting to review and vet the proposal. To submit a request to the HFS Sustainability Committee, please provide a brief description of your proposed project and a projected timeline.

Office of Planning & Budgeting

As the University of Washington’s central analytical unit, the Office of Planning & Budgeting stewards timely, accurate, and complete information and analyses services, its members actively partnering with UW leaders in guiding strategic resource allocation and development, fostering new initiatives, and supporting dynamic decision-making. If you or your project are thinking about altering the physical appearance of the Campus in any way contact Capital Planning and Development Landscape Architect Kristine Kenney.

Transportation Services

UW Transportation Services provides resources, information and access to dependable and sustainable commuting options (such as walking bicycling, U-PASS & RideShare), as well as UW Fleet Services & Transportation Construction projects.  To discuss any relevant project ideas along these lines with their experts, email them and they'll follow up soon.

UW Sustainability

The UW Sustainability Offfice administratively and physically houses the CSF, and also contains much of the institutional knowledge about sustainability efforts on campus and Fund history.
